ST. LOUIS  --  Wichita State's Jared Belardo and Breanne Borman were selected Missouri Valley Conference Field Athletes of the Week for their performances last week, it was announced today by the conference office.

Jared Belardo won both the triple jump, with the second-best jump in Shocker history and a personal record of 51-11, and the long jump, with a personal best distance of 24-7 that was the seventh-best in Shocker history, at the Kansas Triangular Friday in Lawrence, Kan., against teams from Kansas and Kansas State. His triple jump is currently the ninth-best in the NCAA, while his long jump is the 16th-best in the NCAA this season.
 

Breanne Borman was second in women's high jump with a personal best jump of 5-8 at the Kansas Triangular Friday in Lawrence, Kan., against teams from Kansas and Kansas State. Her jump was also the 10th-best in Shocker history, while she also finished fourth in the long jump with a distance of 18-11.25. Borman also competed Saturday at the Shocker Prelude and finished in second place with a time of 8.67 in the 60m hurdles, her personal best.
