TULSA, Okla. – Members of the Wichita State women's tennis team shook off some of the winter rust, Sunday, with matches at the University of Tulsa's Hurricane Invitational.
The doubles team of
Abby Stevens and
Summer Schlotterback won a tight match over Wyoming's Magdalena Stencel and Anastiasia Tokarova in tiebreaker, 7-6(5).
Julia Schiller and
Tanaporn Thongsing also saw doubles action, and all four Shockers played one singles match each. Thongsing pushed nationally-ranked Ksenia Laskutova of Tulsa (ITA No. 95) to a third set.
WSU (39th in the ITA Division I rankings) officially begins its dual match schedule this Friday, Jan. 15 in Springfield, Mo.
