COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M hit .470 on the way to a 3-0 win over Wichita State. The Aggies won by scores of 25-12, 25-16 and 25-12.
Katie Reilly led the Shockers with nine kills and hit .471, while
Emily Hiebert had 22 assists and
Dani Mostrom had eight digs.
Texas A&M raced out to a 10-4 lead in the first set and used a 3-0 run to pull away 20-10. The Aggies went on to win the set 25-12.
A service ace from
Dani Mostrom cut the lead to 4-3 in the second set and the Shockers continued to hang around until a 4-0 run gave the Aggies a 13-7 lead. Two kills from
Katie Reilly cut the lead to 15-11, but a 4-1 run gave Texas A&M a 20-13 lead. The Aggies won the set 25-16.
A Mostrom service ace gave the Shockers a 4-3 lead in the third set, but the Aggies answered with a 3-0 run to take a 6-4 lead. A Texas A&M service ace gave the Aggies an 18-9 lead and they won the set 25-12.
The Shockers are next in action on Thurs., Sept. 10 at 12:30 p.m. against South Dakota State inside Charles Koch Arena.
