Tournament Draws
WICHITA, Kan. – A loaded 2015-16 schedule awaits the Wichita State men's tennis team this season, and the first step of that slate begins this weekend in Midland, Texas, at the Midland Fall Invitational.
"We have started our season the past few years in Midland," said head coach
Brad Louderback who enters his eighth season at WSU. "It's a strong field, great run tournament and the hospitality is second to none."
Senior captain,
Tin Ostojic, who finished the 2014-15 campaign ranked No. 49 in singles and No. 39 in doubles, enters this season ranked No. 26 in the ITA Preseason Singles Rankings. Ostojic recorded NCAA first round victories in both singles and doubles as a junior.
The Shockers also return senior
Sergio de Vilchez, junior
Jocelyn Devilliers and sophomores
Miroslav Herzan and
Jon Meyer. Devilliers and Herzan come back after solid seasons in which they went 20-11 and 18-8 in singles, respectively.

Vitor Mendes and freshmen
Haru Inoue and
Eddie Stoica.
This marks the fourth straight season Wichita State will open the fall schedule in Midland.
Last season at the Midland Fall Invitational, Ostojic won a share of the singles title. The championship match vs. TCU's Trey Daniel was canceled due to weather.
UP NEXTFollowing the Midland Fall Invitational, the Shockers will head to Tulsa, Okla., for the ITA All-American Championships, Oct. 3-12.
