Abbie Lehman led WSU with 11 kills each.
Jody Larson had a team-high eight digs.
The Shockers started off strong in the first set with a quick kill by Reilly. The Bobcats were forced to take a timeout at 10-5 after four straight points by the Shockers. Three consecutive kills by
MaryAshton Floyd, Lehman and Reilly gave the Shockers an 18-11 lead. Wichita State won 25-15 on a kill by
Katy Dudzinski.
The teams traded points for most of the second set. WSU took their first timeout with a score of 11-10 as the Bobcats pulled within one. A kill by Dudzinski gave the Shockers the win at 25-22.
After an early back-and-forth in set three, the Shockers pulled ahead 11-9 with blocks by Dudzinski and Reilly. An ace by Floyd gave the Shockers their largest lead of the set at 22-16, and a Lehman kill ended the set 25-18.
The Shockers are next in action tonight at 8 p.m. against No. 7 Illinois in Charles Koch Arena.
