2016 ITA Kickoff Field    
WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State will compete alongside some of the nation's elite men's tennis programs next season at the ITA Kickoff Weekend. The Shockers travel to Columbus, Ohio on Jan. 23-24, 2016 for two matches in two days.
The annual event consists of 15, four-team brackets at host sites throughout the country. Winners of each pod will advance to compete in the 2016 ITA Division I National Indoor Team Championships.
WSU will face top-seed and host Ohio State at 10:00 a.m. ET on day one. The winner of that match meets either second-seeded South Carolina or third-seeded Denver at 1:00 p.m. ET on Jan. 24. The losers square off in the consolation match at 10:00 a.m. that day.
Ohio State closed out the 2014-15 season ranked No. 12 in Division I. South Carolina finished up at No. 50 and Denver No. 53.
WSU defeated four NCAA Tournament teams this season, including Denver, on its way to 19 dual match wins and a No. 69 final ranking.
The Shockers return three of their top six singles players in 2015-16, led by NCAA singles and doubles qualifier 
Tin Ostojic. The senior-to-be reached the Round of 32 in the singles draw and ended the year ranked No. 49 nationally.
