Six Shockers Earn All-Valley Honors

All-Conference Teams

WICHITA, Kan. –
 Six Wichita State baseball student-athletes have earned all-Missouri Valley Conference honors.

Junior outfielder Sam Hilliard earned first team honors, while junior outfielder Daniel Kihle and junior first baseman Ryan Tinkham were named to the second team.

Hilliard is hitting .337 with 14 doubles, four triples, seven home runs and 47 RBI, while Kihle is hitting .305 with five doubles, one triple four home runs, 28 RBI and 18 stolen bases. Tinkham is hitting .330 with 18 doubles, nine home runs and 40 RBI.

Freshman shortstop Trey Vickers, freshman catcher Gunnar Troutwine and junior relief pitcher John Hayes were named honorable mention.

Vickers is hitting .262 with two doubles and 14 RBI, while Troutwine is hitting .278 with two doubles, one triple, three home runs and 27 RBI. Hayes is 6-2 with three saves and a 2.91 ERA. He has 50 strikeouts in 46.1 innings pitched.
