Bob Hodgson was regarded as a ball-player with a deadly hook shot using either his left or right hand. At 6-6, Hodgson ranked at the time of his induction (46 years after his career at old WU ended) 24th all-time in points scored (19th in all-three-year players) with 1,112. He earned second team all-MVC in 1954-55, and his career scoring average of 13.7 ranked 21st among WSU's 1,000-point scorers at the time of his induction. Hodgson was known as WU's all-everything candidate as a senior when he averaged a double-double, leading the team in scoring (17.5) and rebounding (11.5). As a first-year player in 1953-54, he averaged 9.6 points per game on WU's 27-4 first-time ever NIT squad. Hodgson is a native of Scammon, Kan., and resides in Nickerson, Kan. Inducted, 2002.
