Doug Mirabelli was a 1992 American Baseball Coaches Association second team All-America and Collegiate Baseball third team All-America catcher. He also earned 1991 Baseball America third team All-America catcher honors and 1990 Baseball America Freshman second team All-America honors. In 1991 and 1992 he was named Missouri Valley Conference All-Tournament catcher, and was honored on the 1992 NCAA Midwest Regional all-tournament teams... He is the only Shocker baseball player to earn three team Gold Glove Awards as he did in 1990, 91, and 92. He was also chosen the team's 1992 Shocker MVP... In his career he threw out 46 percent of all stolen base attempts, and was one of five Shockers invited to the Olympic Baseball Trials in 1992. He signed with the San Francisco Giants in 1992, and at the time of his induction had major league stints with the Texas Rangers and the Boston Red Sox. Inducted, 2002.
