MTEN: No. 46 Shockers Run Win Streak to 5

LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- The Wichita State men's tennis team (ITA No. 46) won its fifth-consecutive dual match, Sunday, downing Hawaii 4-0 in neutral site contest hosted by UNLV.

WSU (11-3) won the first two doubles matches to reach completion, and Guillermo de Vilchez, Jocelyn Devilliers and Miroslav Herzan posted victories at Nos. 4-6 singles to sweep the dual.

In addition, the Shockers led in each of the three other unfinished singles matches.

"This was a good match for us to get used to the heat and court speed." WSU head coach, Brad Louderback said. "We did not play the level of doubles that we are capable of, but we came out strong in singles."

WSU will play twice more in Las Vegas before heading home. The Shockers take on Idaho on Monday and meet host UNLV on Wednesday.
