Wichita State (19-4, 10-1) plays host to Bradley, 2 p.m., Sunday as it tries to protect a 13-0 home record in 2014-15.

-WSU is coming off a 64-55 win against Loyola Friday night in the Shockers' annual Pink Game.

A Shocker crowd of 2,322 turned out to support the fight against breast cancer by wearing pink, as did the hometown team. WSU's pink uniforms were auctioned off to raise funds for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund as a part of the Play4 Kay initiative.

Alex Harden scored 20 points for WSU and was backed by Michaela Dapprich's 17 points and Jamillah Bonner's 12 points. Fourteen of Dapprich's points came in the second half.

Loyola (4-19, 2-10) was led in scoring by Simone Law's 16 points. Sam Lambrigtsen had 15 and Taylor Manuel had 10.

-The Shockers next play four of their last six regular-season games on the road.

-WSU will also try to protect a 14-game home winning streak, which dates to the last home game of 2013-14.

-WSU won, 69-50, against Missouri State in its long game alst week as the second half of the conference season began. Senior guard Jamillah Bonner scored 18 points on 50 percent field goal shooting (6-12) and 86 percent (6-7) free throw shooting in WSU's lone game last week. She also had two assists and a steal in the game.

-WSU experienced its first Valley loss of the season, a 64-61 loss at Drake, to relinquish the MVC lead at the halfway mark of the conference season. Michaela Dapprich scored 19 points to lead WSU.

-WSU's Valley win streak to open the MVC season ended at eight, which ranks third in history. The Shockers started Missouri Valley Conference play 12-0 in 2013-14, 10-0 in 2012-13 and 7-0 in 2011-12.

-Harden has scored double-figures in 17-of-22 games she has played and 20 points or more points seven times.

-Alie Decker had 31 points in a record-breaking  performance against Winthrop where she had nine treys and went on to earn National Player of the Week honors.

-Harden scored a career-high-tying 31 points in the win at Missouri State, her sixth 20-plus scoring game of the season. She was named the MVC Player of the Week for her effort.

-The Shockers defeated Indiana State, 63-52, in the MVC-opener as Alex Harden had 21 points and 11 steals, which tied a school record.

-This is the 41st season of modern Wichita State women's basketball.

On Jody Adams...Jody Adams (Tennessee, '94) is in her seventh season at Wichita State as the only Shocker women's basketball coach to make an NCAA appearance and win an MVC regular-season and MVC Tournament championship. Her 2012-13 team accomplished all of that, then the 2013-14 team repeated the exact same feat.

She is 137-82 in six-plus seasons at WSU and 161-90 overall, which includes a 24-8 record as head coach at Murray St in 2007-08.

In addition, WSU is 84-24 (.753) overall at home under Adams, including 13-0 in 2014-15.

Adams is also first on the WSU all-time wins list. She passed Linda Hargrove, who won 113 games at WSU from 1989-98, on Fri., Feb. 21, 2014 in a win against Illinois State.

Edging Closer to No. 1... Alex Harden needs just 147 points to become WSU's all-time leading scorer after she moved into fourth in Wichita State career scoring Friday night with 1,491 points. Allison Daniel is the Shockers' leading career scorer with 1,638 points from 1982-86. Jennifer Kaczka is second with 1,557 points from 1998-02.

Harden needs one point to move into third and tie Kiki Stephens' 1,489 from 2004-08.

Harden is already in the career Top Five in assists (3rd-402), blocks (4th-104), steals (4th-237) free throws made (3rd-346).

Bradley Head Coach...Michael Brooks (Western State '04) is in his third season as head coach at Bradley and fifth overall with the Braves. He owns a 26-57 (.317) record on The Hilltop and a 31-82 (.277) mark in his fourth season as a collegiate head coach. Brooks was part of both of Bradley's teams which advanced to the Women's Basketball Invitational, serving as an assistant coach for the Braves in 2011-12 and Director of Operations during the 2009-10 campaign. In between his two stints on the Bradley bench, Brooks was co-head coach at Central Methodist University in 2010-11.

Bradley's Last Time Out...On Friday, Bradley turned in a solid defensive effort in the first half limiting Missouri State to 33 percent shooting, but second half turnovers and a 15-5 Missouri State run to open the second period helped the Lady Bears rally from a 24-21 halftime deficit to top the Braves 69-61.

Bradley's Swinging Success...Bradley has had success on the Missouri State - Wichita State road swing over the last few years, posting a 4-4 mark over the last four trips through Missouri and Kansas.  In fact, the Braves are 6-6 in road games against this weekend's foes over the last six years.  Bradley's four combined road wins against Missouri State and Wichita State between the 2010-11 and 2013-14 seasons are tied with Northern Iowa for the most in the MVC.  In addition, the six road victories on the swing since 2008-09 also tie for the most in the Valley with Illinois State during that span.
