Shocker women's tennis head coach Colin Foster was pleased with how his team executed against the Tigers.
“We prioritized a few things in practice this week, specifically in the doubles, and it was nice to see us execute well in those areas,” Foster said. “In singles, we won five first sets and No. 74 Missouri certainly made a run, but we talk about how that happens all the time in sport.
“It's just natural to fight a little harder and play more focused from behind. We did well to keep our composure when they made their run and really earned this victory. We've had close battles with UT-Arlington every year, and I expect no different tomorrow.”
No. 62 Wichita State is back in action on Monday when they face UT-Arlington at the Wichita Country Club in Wichita at 10 a.m. Live stats will be available on GoShockers.com, and the results of Monday's match will be posted following the completion of play.
