The Wichita State men's golf team travels to Overland Park, Kan., for the Bill Ross Intercollegiate, Oct. 13-14.
The 16-team field will be participating in a 54-hole collegiate tournament to be played at the par 72, 7,054-yard Milburn Country Club, located in Overland Park, Kan.
Joining the Shockers in the tournament are Arkansas State, Central Arkansas, Creighton, Denver, Drake, Kansas State, Missouri State, UMKC, Nebraska, Northern Iowa, Oklahoma Christian, Oral Roberts, SIU Edwardsville, South Dakota State and Western Illinois.
The Shockers are coming off of a 10th place finish at the Janney VCU Shootout in Manakin-Sabot, Va., Sept. 22-23. The Shockers shot a 304 in the first round, a 303 in the second round and a 304 in the third round at the par-72 Hermitage Country Club.
Sophomore Grant Bennett finished tied for 23rd (76-73-75-224) after shooting a 3-over par 75 in the final round. Junior Alec Heinen finished tied for 37th (76-76-75-227) after shooting a 3-over par 75 in the final round.
