WICHITA, Kan.- Director of Track and Field Steve Rainbolt and the rest of the Wichita State Track & Field staff announced the signing of seven athletes that will join the track and field program this spring.

“We are pleased with the additions to both of our team's for the spring semester,” head coach Steve Rainbolt said. “On the women's side, Megan Williams and Jamie Lovett have the potential to impact our women's team right away. Megan is a great thrower and I think one of the best in the state of Kansas coming out of high school, and Jamie is a great addition to our jumps team.”

“On the men's side, this might be the most significant group of athletes that we have added at semester. These five athletes will impact our men's team immediately and they put us in a great position for the MVC championship.”

Both teams open the indoor season this weekend with one of its two home meets with the Herm Wilson Invitational in the Heskett Center, located on Wichita State's campus.
