PINEHURST, N.C.- The Wichita State women's golf team completed play at the Pinehurst Challenge on Tuesday afternoon at Pinehurst No. 6.
Sarah Gilbert (77-73-83) and Hannah Martin (77-78-78) both shot a 233 to finish in a tie for 31st. Hollie Weatherburn carded a 239 (80-78-81) to place in a tie for 56th. Natalie Samb (259) and Gretchen Huhnerkoch (263) rounded out the all-senior Shocker line-up.
Caroline Lovette Richmond captured the tournament title with a 219 (76-71-71).
As a team, the Shockers carded a 56-hole score of 962 (324-311-327) to finish in 17th place. Richmond won the team title with an 899 (296-298-305).
Wichita State will now have a couple weeks off before they head to Sunrise Beach, Mo. for the Missouri Valley Conference Championship April 21-23 at the Club at Porto Cima.
