COLUMBIA, Mo.- The Wichita State women's tennis team fell to No. 59 Missouri 6-1 on Sunday at the Green Tennis Center.
The Shocker women dropped a point in the doubles competition when Elisha Gabb and Madison Rhyner defeated Montse Blasco Fernandez and Julia Schiller, 8-2 and Cierra Gaytan-Leach and Alex Clark defeated Veronika Blaskova and Lucia Kovalova, 8-3.
Blasco Fernandez grabbed a point for Wichita State in singles play by taking down Elisha Gabb, 6-3, 5-7, 10-8. It was her third-straight singles victory and she now has a record of 16-8 on the season, including 9-5 in dual match play.
Wichita State will now continue conference play when they head to Cedar Falls, Iowa to take on UNI on Saturday, April 6 at 1 p.m.
