WICHITA, Kan.- The Wichita State men's tennis team came it
at No. 74 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings that were released
today.
The Shockers defeated Air Force 5-2 on Friday, February 22 and No. 53 Denver 4-2 on
Saturday, February 23 to earn the ranking. They are now 6-3 on the season.
Senior Matheus Pereira had a big weekend for Wichita State,
going undefeated in both singles and doubles competition. He was also named the
Missouri Valley Conference Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.
Wichita State will host Washburn on Friday, March 1 at
Genesis Health Club. The match time has now been changed to 12:30 p.m.
