LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The Wichita State University men's golf team improved its score in each round to rise into fourth place at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate. The New Mexico State-hosted tournament closes the fall season for the Shockers.
Louis Cohen Boyer capped a stellar fall with his fourth top-10 finish in five tournaments. The junior carded a 1-under 212 (70-71-71) to tie for fourth place. Freshman Grant Bennett turned in a 4-over 217 (74-73-70) to tie for 13th.
Alec Heinen and Chandler Rusk each tied for 42nd while providing their best rounds of the tournament for Tuesday. Heinen (77-76-71) and Rusk (78-73-73) each carded a 224.
