Sophomore Rachel Milnark and freshman Sydney Stuever were named to the 2012 MVC Softball All-Conference Second Team Wednesday.
Milnark, from Lansing, Kan. was the Shockers leading
conference hitter with a .309 batting average and tied for the most runs scored
with 25. Overall, Milnark finished
the season with a .274 batting average, 27 runs, nine doubles and 12 RBI. She
reached base in a team high 17 consecutive games. Milnark started 36 games in
the outfield and 17 games at second base.
Stuever is a native of Andale, Kan. who led the Shockers in
a multitude of offensive categories in her freshman season at Wichita State.
She ranked first with a .313 batting average, 51 hits, 15 stolen bases, 11
doubles and 81 total bases. Stuever also had a team high 15 multi-hit games,
starting 41 games in the outfield and 13 as the designated player.
