NORMAN, Okla. - Wichita State dropped its first spring dual of 2012 against No. 18 Oklahoma, 7-0, on Tuesday night at the Headington Family Tennis Center. 

The Sooners took the doubles point after they won all three matches against the Shockers. WSU freshmen Tomislav Gregurovic and Erick Reyes, battled but fell to the No. 38 ranked team in the country, Tsvetan Mihov and Peerakit Siributwong, 8-2. OU clinched the point with Guillermo Alcorta and David Pultr's win over Juan Estenssoro and Nestor Perez, 8-2. No. 20 David Cavalcanti and Matheus Pereira fell to No. 14 Costin Paval and Dane Webb, 8-6.

Costin Paval, the No. 4 ranked player in the country, won the first singles match over No. 66 ranked, Pereira, 6-1, 6-1. Reyes next dropped his match in the No. 3 position to No. 38 Siributwong, 6-1, 6-3 and Oklahoma clinched the match after No. 53 Alcorta beat Cavalcanti, 6-4, 6-0. Gregurovic battled No. 39 Mihov in the No. 5 position and dropped a three-set thriller, 6-4, 4-6, 7-6(3).

WSU will return to action this Friday when they host Texas San-Antonio at Genesis Health Club on Rock Road.  First serve is set for 1 p.m.
