St. Louis, Mo. - Three Shockers were named to the Missouri Valley Scholar-Athlete team at the tennis banquet Thursday night in St. Louis, Mo.  Adrian Chermaci and Matheus Pereira each were selected to the men's first-team.  Lutfiana Budiharto was selected to the women's first-team.

Chermaci, a senior and a native of Brasov, Romania is a three-time All-Scholar selection and carries a 3.74 GPA in Sport Management.  Pereira, a sophomore from Sao Paulo, Brazil carries a 3.80 GPA in International Business. 

The 2011 MVC Player of the Year, Budiharto is a two-time All-Scholar selection and carries a 3.39 GPA in Exercise Science.

To be selected, an athlete must meet performance standards to be eligible for selection. A student-athlete must hold at least a cumulative 3.2 GPA, be at least a sophomore in athletic and academic standing, and have participated in 75% of the regular season or projected participation in the MVC Championship to earn a spot on the MVC Scholar-Athlete team.
