women's tennis team at the Sooner Invitational. Singles action took place all day in Norman.
Lutfiana Budiharto knocked off Kelsey Sundaram of Arkansas
6-2, 6-2 in the quarters and Lacey Pflibsen of Portland 6-2, 6-1 in the
semifinals. She will face Marta
Lesniak of SMU in Sunday's finals of the 'A' flight.
Delia Damaschin defeated Gia McKnight of DePaul 6-4, 6-0 and
Samantha Adams of Texas Tech 6-2, 6-4. Damaschin will face Paula Dinuta of North Texas in the
consolation finals of the 'B" flight.
Raphaela Zotter dropped her first match of the day 3-6, 6-2,
6-4 but bounced back with a victory in her next match against Valentina
Starkova of Arkansas 7-5, 2-6, 6-3.
Veronika Blaskova won her first match 3-6, 6-0, 7-5 but fell in her next
match to Elizabeth Ullathorne of Texas Tech 6-3, 6-4. Valerie Brockman fell in
a tough match to Anamaria Candanoza of Tulsa 1-6, 7-6(8), 7-5 and dropped her
next match Monika Hadvigerova of Texas-Arlington 6-1, 6-2.
The tournament will resume on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. Results will be posted to
