• The Shockers wrap up non-conference play with a doubleheader at Kansas before hosting Bradley in their final home series of the 2010 season.
• Kansas comes into Wednesday's doubleheader with an 18-29 record and 1-13 mark in Big 12 play. The Jayhawks are led by Rosie Hull's .378 batting average. Five Jayhawks have at least five homers while Brittany Hile leads the squad with 25 RBI. In the circle, Allie Clark leads the staff with a 4.03 ERA. Opponents are hitting .309 off of Jayhawk pitching staff that has struck out 165 batters this year.
• KU has played 15 games against WSU opponents this year, going 5-10 in those games with wins against UMKC, Texas Tech, Missouri State and Creighton.
• WSU is 1-7 this season against the Big 12 with five of those losses coming against teams ranked in the top 25. In addition, four of those five were on the road. The Shockers have at least one win against a Big 12 school every season since 2000.
• Bradley comes to Wilkins Stadium for WSU's final home games of 2010. The Shockers and Braves sit at No. 8 and No. 9 in the MVC, respectively, and will square off in a pivotal series. BU is led by Amanda Clack's .326 batting average while Kate Singler leads the team with four homers. Clack also leads the team in the circle with a 3.28 ERA in 96.0 innings pitched.
• Saturday is Strikeout Breast Cancer Day at Wilkins Stadium. Fans wearing pink can get into the game for just $5 and bid on silent auction items with the proceeds going to breast cancer research
• Last season the Braves took two of three games from the Shockers in Peoria. BU went on to finish sixth in the MVC before becoming the first host to win the MVC Tournament. This season the Braves were picked to finish eighth.
• Lindsie Mitts continues to swing a hot bat at the top of the WSU lineup. The senior came into the season with a career .218 batting average but goes into the week with a .272 average, including a .302 mark in Valley games. In addition, Mitts is 14 for 14 in stolen bases to become just the third Shocker ever to reach 40 career stolen bases.
• Sophomore Kasha Kolb continued her climb up the career strikeout charts at WSU. After striking out 206 batters last season, Kolb ranks fourth in the MVC with 162 strikeouts. Her 369 K's are good for fourth all-time in school history, just ahead of Paty Bautista's 368.
• Kasha Kolb picked up her second MVC Pitcher of the Week award after going 2-1 with a save in five relief appearances the week of April 12-18. The sophomore compiled a 0.63 ERA and struck out 25 batters in 22.1 innings while allowing opponents to hit just .173 against her.
• Lindsie Mitts had a productive week atop the WSU batting order. The senior hit .474 in five games, April 12-18, including a career-best 4 for 4 outing in game two of WSU's doubleheader at Missouri State. Mitts leads the team in multi-hit games with nine and her .250 batting average so far this season is a career-high.
• Kiersten Dixon moved into the MVC top 5 in doubles after hitting three in five games the week of April 12-18. The junior had two doubles, two RBI and a run scored in WSU's come from behind win in game two of the Evansville series. Dixon now has 10 doubles on the season, a career-best.
