WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita State Black squad evened the
series with a 6-2 win over the Gold in game two of the Fall World Series.
Tyler Grimes went 2-for-3 with two RBI for the Black, while
Don Lambert went 2-for-5 and Josh Halbert went 2-for-4.
Black starter Tobin Mateychick earned the win going 4.1
innings and giving up one run on three hits with three walks and five
strikeouts.
Garrett Bayliff went 2-for-4 with two RBI for the Gold,
while Bob Arens went 2-for-4.
Gold starter TJ McGreevy took the loss going 3.1 innings and
giving up three runs on seven hits with two walks and two strikeouts.
Game three of the Fall World Series is Tue., Oct. 5 at 3
p.m.
