WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita State Gold squad defeated the
Black squad 4-2 in game six of the Shocker Fall World Series.
Preston Springer went 3-for-5 for the Gold, while Micah
Green went 2-for-4 with two doubles.
Dayne Parker, Tyler Coughenour, Bob Arens and Tyler Powers each drove in
a run for the Gold.
Gold reliever Drew Rainey earned the win going three shutout
innings with three walks and one strikeout.
Grant Muncrief pitched a scoreless ninth with two strikeouts for the
save.
Tyler Grimes went 3-for-5 with an RBI for the Black, while
Garrett Bayliff went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Black reliever Dillon Kerans took the loss going 1.2 innings
and giving up four runs on three hits with four walks and two strikeouts.
Game seven of the series is Wed., Oct. 13 at 3 p.m.
