NORMAN, Okla.?Junior Dustin Garza added All-American honors to his season's success on Monday when the Golf Coaches Association of America named him a Third-Team PING All-American.

Garza represents the Missouri Valley Conference as the only Valley golfer to be named a PING All-American. He was also the only MVC golfer to be named to the PING Central Region team, which was also released on Monday.

The Mission, Texas native led the Shockers all season long, posting a 71.568 stroke average, and claiming four first place finishes. Garza added to his accolades by landing in the top five in eight of 13 tournaments. Twice this fall, Garza set new career-record tournament scores.

The Shockers wrapped up their 2008-09 campaign at the NCAA Tournament at the South Central Regional, where Garza finished 34th.
