Stockman Named to All-Region Team

WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State volleyball student-athlete Emily Stockman has been named to the 2009 AVCA All-Central Region Team.  Stockman was named to the first team for the second-straight year.

Stockman, a senior outside hitter from Colorado Springs, Colo., earned first team all-Valley honors in 2009.  She averaged 4.03 kills, 0.29 aces, 3.63 digs and 0.46 blocks per set while hitting .263.  Her 479 kills and 4.03 kills per set average this season both rank third in the Shocker record books for kills in a season and kills per set in a season.

She finishes her career fourth in the Shocker career record books in kills, first in kills per set, fourth in attack attempts, sixth in service aces per set, seventh in digs, fourth in digs per set, fourth in points and first in points per set.
