WICHITA, Kan. ? Mantas Griskenas, a 6-foot-7 junior forward from Rokiskis, Lithuania, tore the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) and the Medial Collateral Ligament (MCL) in his right knee and will miss the remainder of the season, Wichita State Head Coach
Gregg Marshall announced tonight following Wichita State's game against Northern Iowa.
Griskenas sustained the tears at the six-minute mark of the first half and will have an MRI to determine the full extent of the injury, according to Marshall.
He has played in 18 games for WSU this season, averaging 4.9 points and 2.4 rebounds, but recently had a WSU career-high 11 points, including three treys, at Southern Illinois on Saturday.
Griskenas is in his first season after transferring from Three Rivers [Mo.] Community College.
