Box Score PEORIA, Ill. ? Wichita State finished the regular-season with its 19th-straight victory in a sweep over Bradley. The Shockers improved to 26-4 overall and finish with a 17-1 mark in Valley play. WSU won by scores of 30-18, 30-20 and 30-27.
Emily Stockman led the Shockers with 14 kills and also added 17 digs. Sara Lungren also had a double-double with 12 kills and 14 digs, while Angela Jakubov had 11 kills. Abby Harsh totaled 51 assists and Kelly Broussard had 19 digs.
The Shockers raced out to a 7-1 lead in game one and increased it to 11-3 after back-to-back service aces by Sara Lungren. A kill by Lungren made the score 19-7 and WSU cruised to a 30-18 victory.
A Lungren kill in game two made the score 11-5 and WSU increased it to 17-9 on a kill by Emily Stockman. The Braves pulled to within 21-17 with back-to-back blocks, but the Shockers responded by going up 27-20 on another kill from Lungren. WSU reached game point with a kill by Angela Jakubov and won the game 30-20 on a Brave error.
BU took an early 8-6 lead in game three and increased it to 15-12 after a kill by Jenna Harrison. The Shockers rallied to take an 18-17 lead on a block by Lungren and Jakubov and increased it to 24-21 on a kill by Lungren. WSU won the game 30-27 on a kill by Lindsey Eckenrode.
The Shockers are next in action at the State Farm/MVC Tournament Nov. 23-24 in Springfield, Mo. The Shockers are the No. 1 seed and will play at 5 p.m. on Fri., Nov. 23 against the winner of the No.4/No. 5 matchup.
