Box Score EVANSVILLE, Ind. ? Sara Lungren's 13 kills powered the Shockers to a sweep of Evansville. Wichita State (21-4, 12-1) won by scores of 30-18, 30-24 and 30-13.
Lungren hit .440 for the Shockers and also added 10 digs. Abby Harsh had 36 assists and 10 digs, while Emily Stockman had 11 kills and Kim Wadsworth had 10 kills.
The Purple Aces jumped out to a 10-6 lead in game one before a kill by Emily Stockman tied it at 15 and an Angela Jakubov kill gave the Shockers a 16-15 lead. After trailing 11-14, WSU closed out the game on a 19-4 run and won 30-18.
A kill by Sara Lungren gave the Shockers a 7-3 advantage in game two and increased it to 10-4 after a Stockman kill. A service ace by the Aces pulled them to within 22-19, but the Shockers won the game 30-24.
The Shockers raced out to an 11-6 lead in game three and took a 15-9 advantage after a Stockman kill. The Aces never threatened the rest of the way in a 30-13 win.
The Shockers are next in action on Fri., Nov.2 when they host Missouri State at 7 p.m.
