The Wichita State Shockers have ended their second day at the Missouri Valley Conference Men's Individual Tennis Championship strong. The Shockers have three players who have won the consolation brackets in singles, two players who are going to be competing on Sunday to win their seated flight, and the No. 1 doubles are going to be competing for the title.

Goran Vujaklija and Boris Gubic will be competing at noon on Sunday the 29th for the title of No. 1 doubles in Des Moines. After winning their match on Saturday against Missouri States No. 1 team, Spousta/Kellert 8-6, Vujaklija and Gubic will be taking on Lofgran/Roby from Bradley.

Vujaklija also competed at No. 1 singles were he fell to Yohann Nograbat from Illinois State 6-3, 1-6, 7-6. Gubic also won the consolation bracket as No. 4 singles by beating Eduardo Pignatari from Creighton 6-2, 6-0.

Thiago Dos Santos will also be competing to win the No.5 singles flight. Santos won Saturday against Bradley's Evgeny Samoylov 6-2, 6-2 and will be matched up against Luka Marinkovic from Illinois State at 9 am on Sunday.

Moti Eisikovits also had an exciting day winning his match in No. 6 singles against James Preston of Indiana State 3-6, 6-3, 6-4. Eisikovits will be up against Rodrigo Borges from Missouri State at 9 am Sunday.

Thiago Espirito Santo competed in the consolation bracket in No. 2 singles winning his match against Felipe Villasenor of Southern Illinois 6-3, 6-4. Augusto Alvarado also won the consolation bracket as No. 7 singles against Dave Iancu from Drake 6-2, 6-2.

Wichita State will have many exciting matches on Sunday. Some of the matches to pay attention to will be Vujaklija and Gubic at noon to win the No. 1 doubles flight. Santos and Eisikovits will also be competing to win their flights at 9 am on Sunday.
