Chelsea Scott

Chelsea Scott enters her third season as an assistant coach at Wichita State University in 2022 after serving as a volunteer assistant for WSU for two seasons. 

Prior to coming to Wichita State, she served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at George Mason in 2017, and as both an assistant coach and strength and conditioning coach for four seasons at Sonoma State.

During her time at Sonoma State, Scott was in charge of defensive systems and serve receive as well as running drills. She also monitored academic performance, oversaw the student-athletes and provided study hours.
 
In 2013, Sonoma State won the most matches in school history with a 26-6 record and reached the regional tournament. In 2014, the Seawolves won their conference and regional tournament and advanced to the Elite Eight for the first time in school history.
 
In 2015, she helped guide them to another conference regular-season championship along with the conference tournament title, while advancing to the regional tournament.

Scott coached the Empire Volleyball Club from 2011-16, and has coached multiple club teams for the Shockwave Volleyball Club since arriving in Wichita.
 
Scott played collegiately at Concordia University in Irvine, Calif., from 2006-09. She helped the team to a 122-25 record and national championship tournament appearances all four years while playing for the Eagles. Her team finished as the national runner-up during her junior season in 2008. She was the starting libero for three of the four seasons and was named the all-conference libero twice. She received her bachelor's degree in business in 2010, with an emphasis in sport management.
