Cross Country
Prior to Wichita State: Before transferring to Wichita State, Stafford was at Cowley CC, a NJCAA school where she ran cross country and track from 2011-2013. During her indoor career at Cowley CC, she was a JUCO Region Champion & a Jayhawk East Conference Champion in the 5K and Distance Medley Relay. Cowley's outdoor career at Cowley CC included becoming a Jayhawk East Champion in the 1500m and the 5K. Cowley was also named to the Region All-Athletic/Academic team, and was 11th at the NJCAA 2013 Outdoor Track Nationals in the 1500m race.
Independence High School: Lettered in cross country and track for all four years while lettering in basketball for three...is the high school record holder in the 1600m and the 3200m races at Independence HS....Was on the Independence HS honor roll all four years of high school.
Personal: Born July 7, 1993 in Portland, Ore. and is the daughter of Julia Stafford...Has four brothers, John, Jackson, Jeb and Jude, and two sisters, Jordan and Jillian...plans to major in Physical Education at WSU.
