Biography

As a Junior (2006):
Started 50 games for the Shockers at first base in 2006... Missed the first eight games of the season while recovering from injury... Hit .149 with two doubles, one home run and four RBI... Posted 13 hits and 12 runs scored... Drew five walks and was a perfect 4-for-4 on the base paths... Tied for third on the team with four sacrifices... Was the only Missouri Valley Conference infielder with more than 275 chances to record a 1.000 fielding percentage... Posted three games with multiple hits... Recorded a season-high three-game hitting streak from March 29 - April 2... Her home run came in the sixth inning against nationally-ranked BYU, helping lead the Shockers to the 6-3 win... Hit .500 with the bases loaded... Went 2-for-3 with a run driven in against Texas Tech on March 11... Named to the AD's Honor Roll for the Fall 2005 semester... Honored as a SASO Student-Athlete of the Game at a men's basketball contest...Named to the Missouri Valley Conference Honor Roll.


In the Postseason (2005):
Had the second best batting average on the team with a .400 clip in five plate appearances in the 2005 NCAA Norman Regional... Was perfect in the field at first base... Went 2-for-3 against Oregon.


As a Sophomore (2005):
Started every game at first base for the Shockers in 2005... Hit .247 with 10 doubles, two home runs and 21 RBI... Helped turn 19 double-plays at first base, the most of any Valley player... Fielded .990 for the season with just four errors... Was 1-for-1 in stolen base attempts... Batted .400 against left-handed pitchers and .306 with two outs... Had five multiple-hit and four multiple-RBI games... Recorded a five-game hitting streak from March 31-April 3, which tied a career-high... Went 3-for-3 with five RBI against UMKC on April 27... Was 1-for-2 with two RBI against Kansas on March 31... Named to the AD’s and Dean’s Honor Roll for both the Spring and Fall 2005 semesters.


As a Freshman (2004):
Played in 51 games with 34 starts at first base and four starts as designated player for the Shockers in 2004... Named to the North Texas/Betlin Round-Up all-tournament team... Hit .214 with 27 hits and 12 runs scored... Posted four doubles, two triples and 14 RBI... Fielded .976 at first base, while fielding 1.000 at first base in conference games... Hit .286 with runners on base... Maintained an impressive .344 average with runners in scoring position... Recorded four multiple-hit games... Posted a season and career-high five-game hitting streak from March 27 - April 3... Went 2-for-3 with a RBI against Oklahoma State on Feb. 20... Went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored against North Texas on April 6... Named to the AD’s Honor Roll for Fall 2003 and Spring 2004 semesters.


In High School:
Attended Corona del Sol High School in Tempe, Ariz... Played for head coach Jeep Ray... Earned two letters in basketball and four in softball... Helped lead Aztecs to the Arizona State Class 5A Championship her senior year... Helped lead team to two-consecutive central regional titles... As a basketball player, she helped lead her team to two-straight state championship appearances, winning the state title in 2001... Named to the Honor Roll each year of high school... Member of the National Honor Society.

Daughter of Rick and Barb Jones... Born October 21, 1984, as Lisa Ann Jones... Has three siblings; Kim, Sarah and Amy... Majoring in mechanical engineering at Wichita State.
