In baseball, was the St. Joseph News Press Player of the Year in 2008...Received first team all-state honors during junior and senior seasons...Named all-city and all-district three years...Set school records with a .655 batting average, 52 hits, 13 home runs and 51 RBI during his senior season...Hit .489 with 11 home runs and 46 RBI as a junior in 2007, while helping his team to the state championship...Team went 91-9 in his four years.
