Biography
Coaching: A four time All-MVC sprinter, Nate worked for Shocker Track as Graduate Assistant in the 2010-2011 season, while finishing his masters in sports management. Thiesfeld has worked the Shocker sprinters and hurdlers since 2010 as a Volunteer Assistant. Nate Helped his former teammates, Audacia Moore, and Todd McKown win MVC Championships. He has also assisted Coach Hunter with the Cross Country program this season.
Shocker Track Career:
2009 (SENIOR/JUNIOR): INDOOR - Season best second place finish at WSU Invite in 400m dash (49.46)...Set personal bests in 400m dash (48.80) and 200m dash (22.78) at Texas Tech Invite, placing sixth and 23rd...OUTDOOR - Finished fourth in 400m (50.37) at Sooner Twilight...Came in eight at Nebraska Quad in 400m dash in a time of 49.10, setting outdoor personal best.
2008 (JUNIOR/SOPHOMORE): INDOOR - Redshirted indoor season...OUTDOOR - Placed third at the Emporia State Relays in the 400m with a career-best time of 49.60...Also set his personal best in the 200m at the Emporia State Relays (22.64), placing 13th...Finished third in the 'B' section of both the 200m (22.69) and 400m (49.68) at the Oregon Relays.
2007 (SOPHOMORE): Redshirted outdoor season...Placed fourth in the 800m (1:58.50) at the KSU All-Comers meet and eighth (1:57.50) at the Razorback Invitational...Finished seventh in the 600-yd. run (1:14.89) at the Missouri Invitational.
2006 (FRESHMAN): Ran outdoor season best of 1:59.49 in the 800m at the UMKC Invite...Placed 11th at the KT Woodman, running a leg of the 4x400m relay, finishing in 3:30.61.
Gardner Edgerton HS: Class 5A state track champion...4x400 and 4x800m relay state track member...All-state cross country for three years...Class 5A state cross country champions...Class 5A state track runners-up....Lettered in cross country and track.
Personal: Born May 24, 1986...Son of Gordon and Sarah Thiesfeld...Majoring in criminal justice...Has one brother, Joe, and one sister, Karina.
