HEAD COACH JUDD EASTERLING

One of the most-accomplished golfers in Shocker history, Easterling enters his fifth season at the helm of Wichita State men's golf in 2023-24. The former All-American was elevated to head coach for the 2019-20 season after three years as an assistant under the legendary Grier Jones.

A two-time honorable mention All-American for the Shockers from 2001-05, Easterling returned to his alma mater in October of 2016 after stops at Missouri and Arizona State. He was elevated to associate head coach prior to the 2017-18 season.

Easterling returned to Wichita State as an assistant coach in October of 2016 and made an immediate impact in his first spring, helping the Shockers reclaim the MVC team title and advance to NCAA regional play. A pair Shockers, senior Grant Bennett and sophomore Yannick Emmert, earned all-conference honors, and Emmert was the MVC's Golfer of the Year.

The Greater Wichita metro area is home to a mix of 13 different golf courses and country clubs, all within a 30 minute drive of the Wichita State University main campus. The Wichita State men's and women's golf teams take full advantage of this, regularly practicing on many of these nearby courses.

Under Armour is the official provider of all Shocker athletic gear.

The city of Wichita is a very open area and is easily navigable thanks to three major highways passing through the city. Wichita State University, which is located on the eastern side of Wichita, is just a short drive away from Wichita's historic "Oldetown" in downtown, while also being a very short drive from Wichita's beautiful, bustling east side, which features many excellent restaurants and fun activities such as Dave and Buster's and Topgolf. The east side of Wichita is also home to great shopping centers such as Bradley Fair, Greenwich Place, and Towne East Mall.

The Shocker men's golf program receives a plethora of internal coverage from the Shocker media department. Thanks to a fantastic creative studio, Wichita State's very talented photography team captures some fantastic shots of Shocker athletes.

The Wichita State creative team also captures all the action of the men's golf team's nearby tournaments. This, combined with the portraits in the creative studio, provides plenty of content to post on team social media accounts and content that student-athletes can access via Opendorse.
