EUGENE, Ore. – Wichita State's Jason Parrish earned Second Team All-America recognition with an 11th-place finish in the semifinals of the 400-meter hurdles on day one of the NCAA Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field.

The junior from Olathe, Kan. ran 49.77 to finish fourth in his heat and 11th overall, missing the final by two spots. For the second-straight season, Parrish was named a Second Team All-American in the event, the first Shocker in program history to be a two-time All-American in the 400 hurdles.

Also competing on day one, Josh Parrish earned All-American Honorable Mention recognition in both the 110-meter hurdles and the long jump. The junior ran 13.52 in the hurdles with a disappointing stumble over the final hurdle, finishing 18th and missing the Friday's final, before placing 20th in the long jump with a mark of 7.26m/23'10".

The Parrish twins conclude their seasons, wrapping up the collegiate competition season for the Wichita State men's team. Jelese Alexander will compete for the Shocker women on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. CT in the high jump.
