EUGENE, Ore. – Wichita State track and field qualified three athletes in four events to the NCAA Outdoor Championships as the team heads to Eugene, Ore. for four days of competition beginning Wednesday at Hayward Field.

Jason Parrish and
Josh Parrish will open up competition for the Shockers on Wednesday, June 10 as
Josh Parrish runs in the 110-meter hurdles semifinals at 8:08 p.m. CT followed by long jump at 8:40 p.m. CT, and
Jason Parrish will run in the 400-meter hurdles semifinals at 9:14 p.m. CT. The top two in each of three heats of the 110 and 400 hurdles plus the next three fastest times will advance to Friday's finals. The 110 hurdles final is Friday, June 12 at 7:42 p.m. CT, and the 400 hurdles final is Friday at 8:27 p.m. CT.

Jelese Alexander will represent the Shocker women in the high jump on Saturday, June 13 at 6:30 p.m. CT.

This is the second-straight season the Parrish twins have qualified to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in their respective events. At the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships,
Jason Parrish earned Second Team All-American recognition in the 400-meter hurdles, just missing the final with a 10
th-place finish.
Josh Parrish finished 19
th in the 110-meter hurdles and did not record a mark in the long jump, earning honorable mention recognition in both events. Jason currently ranks 14
th in the NCAA in the 400 hurdles, and Josh ranks sixth in the 110 hurdles and 11
th in the long jump entering the competition.

In Alexander's first and only season with Wichita State as a graduate transfer, she qualified to the NCAA Outdoor Championships for the first time in her career. She ties for sixth in the NCAA currently with her high jump clearance of 1.87m/6'1.5" at the NCAA West First Rounds two weeks ago.

Top eight in each event will be named First Team All-American, the next eight will be named Second Team All-American and the final eighth earn honorable mention recognition.
