WICHITA, Kan. — No. 28 Wichita State extended its winning streak to 16 with a 7-0 sweep of Creighton on Friday at the Sheldon Coleman Tennis Complex.

The Shockers (18-3) did not lose a set in doubles or singles against Creighton (13-6) in the dominant victory.

In doubles,
Kristina Kudryavtseva and
Theodora Chantava gave Wichita State the early edge with a 6-1 win at No. 2. The remaining two courts were more competitive, but
Anne Knuettel and
Vichitraporn Vimuktananda clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 win at No. 3.

In singles, Wichita State remained in control, taking all six first sets.

Chantava earned the first singles point with a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 3 to give the Shockers a 2-0 lead.

Kudryavtseva followed with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 5, and
Giorgia Roselli secured the match-clinching point with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 2.

With the match decided,
Xin Tong Wang added a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 1 to extend the lead to 5-0.

At No. 4, Vimuktananda's opponent retired due to injury in the second set with Vimuktananda leading 6-3, 4-2, pushing the score to 6-0.

Tatyana Nikolenko closed out the sweep with a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 6.
