ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The #6-ranked Wichita State women's bowling team is back in action this weekend at the Saints Invite at Shrewsbury Lanes in St. Louis. The tournament begins Friday, January 30 and concludes on Sunday, February 1.
The Shockers were unexpectedly off last weekend after the Prairie View Invitational in Arlington, Texas was canceled due to winter storm conditions.
Wichita State will be defending their title at the Saints Invite, where they claimed the championship in 2025 for the program's first NCAA tournament win. WSU dominated over the first two days of competition, leading the field in total pinfall after both the Baker and traditional matches. Sunday's bracket play was a different story, however, as the Shockers went the full seven games in all three matches, dropping their first round battle to Wright State before roaring back to defeat Louisiana Tech and Wright State in the final.
The Shockers are the third-highest ranked team in this year's field, which also features #4 Nebraska and #5 Louisiana Tech.
