In the Rankings
  • After a fall campaign that saw her become the first Shocker to qualify for nationals since 2019, Wang was ranked No. 62 by the ITA in singles
  • Wang is also the first Shocker to be ranked by the ITA since May 1, 2019, when Fatima Bizhukova was ranked No. 121
  • Wang is currently ranked No. 123 in singles
  • The Shockers slotted in at No. 67 in this week's ITA rankings
New Faces
  • Two new players have joined the Shocker roster from last season in true freshman Sati Aubakirova and Miami (FL) transfer Tatyana Nikolenko
  • Coach Foster will be joined by two new assistant coaches this season: Arianna Raga, who came to Wichita State after guiding the Cowley Tigers to an NJCAA Division I National Championship, and Maya Tahan, who just wrapped up a collegiate playing career between Miami and LSU
South Florida Notes
  • Cristina Moros is in her 10th season as head coach of the Bulls
  • South Florida is 5-11 on the year and have lost their last two matches
  • All five USF wins have come in Tampa this year and they sit at 5-4 at home this season
  • The Bulls are 0-3 against ranked opponents this season
  • South Florida is 1-3 on the year against AAC foes with the lone win coming over Tulane on February 23, 4-0
  • After a 1-9 record through their first ten matches of the year, the Bulls have gone 4-2 across their last six matches
