LINCOLN, Neb. – Wichita State track and field heads to Lincoln, Neb., splitting the team between the Prairie Wolf Invitational on Friday and the Mark Colligan Memorial on Saturday, both held in the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

Events begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday and 10:45 a.m. on Saturday.

Last time out at the KU-KSU-WSU Triangular, the Shocker men had a strong showing in their season debut, winning the unofficial team title and helping Wichita State take second in the male/female combined team competition. The Shockers claimed six individual event wins and recorded 10 Wichita State all-time top-10 marks.

Wichita State will compete on the home track of Nebraska, who has 18 athletes ranked in the top 25 in their events early in the season, including both the men's and women's NCAA leaders in the high jump, Tyus Wilson and Jenna Rodgers. South Dakota will also be in attendance, bring its five top-25 athletes, three of which are pole vaulters. Kennesaw State rounds out the competition at the Mark Colligan Memorial on Saturday, and they are bringing their two top-25 athletes to Lincoln.

SCHOOL RECORD WATCH
Two Shockers ran No. 2 times in school history last weekend at the Triangular and have a chance to race for the record this weekend in Lincoln.
Jaleel Montgomery ran 21.34 in the 200 meters, just shy of Shannon Armstrong's record of 21.19, and
Jason Parrish ran 47.78 in the 400 meters, just off Adam Gauzy's record of 47.52.

ROAD TO VIRGINIA BEACH
The 2025 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships will take place March 14-15 in Virginia Beach, Va. Selections will be from qualifying performances from Friday, Nov. 29 to Sunday, Mar. 2. The top 16 men and women in each event qualify to compete at the championship meet. The final list of meet participants will be available on Tuesday, Mar. 4. On Wednesday, March 12, the final championships start lists will be posted on the NCAA website.
