Destiny Masters was named the College Female Athlete of the Year by the Wichita Sports Commission Wednesday evening at the 26
th Annual Greater Wichita Sports Banquet at INTRUST Bank Arena.

The junior from El Dorado, Kan. became a five-time All-American over the course of a year, earning First Team All-American honors at the 2024 NCAA Indoor Championships with a sixth-place performance in the pentathlon and Second Team All-American honors in the 2024 heptathlon and 2024 indoor high jump and 2023 and 2024 outdoor high jump.

Masters also became a two-time American Athletic Conference champion, winning the 2023 outdoor heptathlon and the 2024 indoor high jump. She earned five all-conference awards over the course of the year, broke the Wichita State pentathlon program record and tied the Shocker indoor high jump record. She placed 13
th in the nation at the United States Olympic Trials to cap her junior campaign, and she will return to Wichita State for one remaining year of eligibility.
