WICHITA – Wichita State's Brady Palen was named the American Athletic Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
 
The senior (outdoor eligibility) from Beloit, Kan. recorded the ninth-best mark in the nation in the high jump at the Shocker Spring Invitational, jumping 2.17m/7'1.5".
 
Palen leads the conference by six centimeters after his first meet and will travel to Fayetteville, Ark. to compete in the Arkansas Spring Invitational on Saturday, April 6.
