WICHITA, Kan. – Playing their first home match in almost a month, the Wichita State men's tennis team was swept 4-0 by the 72nd ranked Tulsa Golden Hurricane on Monday afternoon at Sheldon Coleman Tennis Complex.

With the loss, the Shockers (4-17) fall to 0-5Â against American Athletic Conference opponents this season and Tulsa (10-11) collects their third straight win.

The Golden Hurricane swept through the Shockers in doubles, picking up the point swiftly with a 6-1 win over
Luke Bracks and
Alejandro Jacome at court three, and a 6-3 win over
Richey King and
Misha Kvantaliani at court one.

Singles was closer than the final score would indicate, but Tulsa managed to complete the April Fools' Day sweep of the Shockers.

Jacome would fall first, losing 6-0, 7-5, to give Tulsa 2-0 advantage.

King would stumble next, losing in a very close match at court six, 6-4, 7-5.

Marcelo Sepulveda's 6-4, 6-4 loss at court three would seal and end the match 4-0 in favor of Tulsa.

The Shockers will remain at home and prepare for a senior day match against currently 69th ranked South Florida on Friday at 1:00 PM at Sheldon Coleman Tennis Complex.
