The Wichita State cheer team has set their tryout days for next year.
Cheer tryouts for next year will be on May 4 and 5 with attendance being required for both days.
The first day of tryouts will be on Saturday, May 4 in Charles Koch Arena in Wichita with sessions from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. These sessions will each consist of stunt and tumbling sessions as well as learning tryout material. Those who wish to try out will need to attend both sessions on this day.
The second day will be the official tryout day and will be on Sunday, May 5 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM in Charles Koch Arena.
Both days are for participants only and these events are closed to the public.
Attire for the tryout will be as follows.
Women: Black sports bra, black spandex shorts, low pony with white bow.
Men: Black t-shirt, black shorts.
Tryout attendees must also provide all the information below on or before tryouts.

Must have proof of application and/or acceptance to Wichita State University

Printed copy of completed reference questionnaire filled out and signed by previous/current coach (returners do not need a letter of reference)

Must sign tryout waiver and bring proof of insurance.

Below are a list of requirements and needs that the cheer team is looking for.

Game day ready stunts and working towards elite level stunts in multiple body positions to full or double downs.

Tumbling is recommended, but not required.

Looking for athletes who are coachable and mesh well with other athletes.
