WICHITA – Wichita State track and field wraps up the three-day Wilson Invitational, its only indoor home meet of the season Saturday night at the Heskett Center.

The Shockers, who only entered less than half their team in the meet, came away with seven event wins.

Chidera Okoro swept the horizontal jumps with season bests of 12.08m/39'7.5" in the triple jump and 5.88m/19'3" in the long jump.
Yuben Goncalves also won the triple jump with a season-best jump of 14.84m/48'8.25".

Brady Palen matched his season best from the Mark Colligan Memorial, clearing 2.15m/7'0.75" which continues to tie for the American Athletic Conference lead.

Creighton Camp and
Kylie Zimmer each claimed victories in the throws with Camp winning the weight throw with a big personal best of 16.27m/53'5" and Zimmer winning the shot put with a season best of 14.46m/47'5.25".

Kenisa Meyer continues her breakout season in the 60-meter hurdles running another personal best of 8.69 to pick up her first career win in the event.

In one of the final races of a 12-hour day of track and field,
Adam Rzentkowski placed second in the 3,000 meters behind Shocker alum and assistant coach
Adam Moore, running 8:20.84.

Freshman
Josh Parrish finished third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.98 and second in the long jump with a mark of 7.07m/23'2.5".

The Wichita State multi-event athletes head to Kansas State for the Austra Skujyte Pentathlon and the Steve Fritz Heptathlon on Feb. 1 and 2 while the remainder of the team returns to Nebraska for the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational on Feb. 2 and 3.
