The Wichita State men's tennis team will compete in their first home match of the season when the Omaha Mavericks come to Wichita and Genesis Health Clubs on Friday for a 1:00 PM first serve.

  • The Shockers (1-3) enter their first home match of the season looking to break a three-match losing streak.
  • The Shockers were a spectacular 8-3 in home matches last season.

  • Omaha (2-2) enters fresh off a defeat on the road last week against Nebraska, 0-7.
  • The Mavericks hold victories over Texas - Rio Grande Valley and Air Force this season.
  • Omaha is coming off their best season finish by record in their program history after going 13-11 last season.
  • The Mavericks are in their third year under the guidance of head coach Matthew Barlow. Under Barlow, the Mavericks record is 24-28.
  • Omaha is 0-2 on the road this season and are 9-20 on the road under Barlow.
