The Wichita State men's tennis team will compete in their first home match of the season when the Omaha Mavericks come to Wichita and Genesis Health Clubs on Friday for a 1:00 PM first serve.

LAST TIME VS OMAHA

• In the last meeting against UNO, the Shockers collected three singles wins with victories by Richey King, and former Shockers Alex Richards and Orel Ovil
• The Shockers clinched the doubles point with wins by Ovil/Bracks at No. 3 doubles and King/Misha Kvantaliani at No. 2

OMAHA SCOUTING

• Omaha (2-2) enters fresh off a defeat on the road last week against Nebraska, 0-7.
• The Mavericks hold victories over Texas - Rio Grande Valley and Air Force this season.
• Omaha is coming off their best season finish by record in their program history after going 13-11 last season.
• The Mavericks are in their third year under the guidance of head coach Matthew Barlow. Under Barlow, the Mavericks record is 24-28.
• Omaha is 0-2 on the road this season and are 9-20 on the road under Barlow.

• This is the 6th all-time clash between the Wichita State and Omaha men's tennis teams.
• The Shockers come into this match after a loss on the road last week at Texas Tech.

• Competing in his first match of this season, Kristof Minarik won at No. 3 singles against Texas Tech.

• Alejandro Jacome nearly defeated TTU's #71 Olle Wallin at No. 1 singles, falling 4-6, 7-6 (8), 4-6.
