Madrid, SPAIN – Wichita State sophomore forward Daniela Abies will play on Spain's U19 National Team at the 2023 FIBA U19 World Cup July 15-23 in Madrid, Spain, as announced by Spain Basketball on Wednesday.
 
The sophomore from Málaga, Spain has represented her country one time before as she played on the U18 Spanish National Team. She is one of 12 members selected for the U19 team.
 
Spain is set to play in Group A of the 16-team World Cup. In the group phase, Spain, Argentina, Australia and France, all in Group A, will play each of the other three Group A teams once before moving on to the round of 16, where Group A teams will play against Group B teams for a spot in the quarterfinals.
